BREATHING EDIFICE
A series of buildings located in the Ashwa’iyat Imbaba in the city Caïro.
The Breathing Edifice, is developed from the fundamental right to access of clean air. It provides air POLLUTION-FREE SPACES to protect and nurture community and street-based life such as playing, socialising, community meetings, and street markets.
Culturally significant, and street-held moments are elevated and cared for by providing them an open and air-healthy public space in the city’s dense grid.
We allow ourselves to pause from the city’s overwhelming auditory and visual stimuli and detox ourselves from polluted smog.
